Kepa Arrizabalaga, a goalkeeper for Chelsea, has signed a season-long loan deal with Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.

On Monday morning, Chelsea made this information public in a statement on its website.

Kepa moved from Athletic Club to Chelsea in the 2018 summer.

The Spaniard made 54 games in his first season, during which Chelsea won the Europa League championship, solidifying his position as the starter.

With the Blues, he also captured the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA World Club Cup.

Part of Chelsea’s statement said, “The club wish him [Kepa] well for the season ahead in Madrid, where he will work with former Chelsea head coach Carlo Ancelotti.”
