Those found guilty of anti-party actions during the rerun election for the Faskari-Sabuwa-Kankara federal seat should face punishment, according to Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, the governor of Katsina State.

Following the submission of conclusions by the committee tasked with examining the suspected anti-party acts, Governor Radda issued the decree.

according to Alhaji Sani Aliyu Daura, the state party chairman.

While addressing the party’s internal strife, Governor Radda urged the formation of a “powerful committee” to spearhead aggressive reconciliation efforts in municipalities beset by internal strife.

The five-point report was submitted by Alhaji Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi, the former Deputy Governor and current Chairman of the Investigative Committee. He assured the public that the committee carried out its duties in accordance with the party’s and country’s constitutions as well as the specified terms of reference.

If Jimkashi is to be believed, the APC took a hit in the rerun election because the investigation revealed internal party sabotage, particularly in Kankara and Faskari. There were “selfish party leaders” he said were to blame for the region’s infighting.

To further fortify the APC in Katsina, Jikamshi emphasized the significance of unity and urged the approval of the committee’s recommendations, which included establishing a dedicated reconciliation committee.
