The withdrawal of the fuel subsidy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday led to hardships that Kwara State labor unions and other stakeholders joined the national protest and strike action coordinated by the national bodies of labor movements in the country on Wednesday.
At around nine in the morning, the protestors arrived at the governor’s office in Ilorin, the state capital, on their way to the Government House on Ahmadu Bello Way to voice their complaints to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

Recall that on Tuesday, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, the state police commissioner, called a meeting of representatives from labor organizations, student unions, and security organizations to urge for peaceful protest if the action was held.
