He will be leaving his position as coach after this Sunday’s league match.

In September 2022, De Zerbi took Graham Potter’s position at Brighton.

With the Italian at the helm, the Seagulls achieved their best-ever Premier League result (sixth), and he made an immediate impression. Additionally, he was instrumental in their first-ever qualification for European competition.

Before their match against United, Brighton were in tenth position this season, but they made it all the way to the Europa League quarterfinals.

During his two years at the club, Roberto took Albion to new heights, most notably in our inaugural season in Europe, an experience that will be etched in the minds of supporters forever.

“We have reached a mutual agreement to terminate Roberto’s contract at a time that is convenient for both of us. This will give us the most time to prepare for next season, and Roberto plenty of time to think about what he wants to do with his life,” club chairman Tony Bloom stated.
