Veteran actor and comedian Julius Agwu has refuted claims that his divorced wife, Ibiere Maclayton, wedded him for financial gain.
Recall how several media outlets claimed he had implied in a recent interview that his ex-wife “may have married him primarily for his financial status at the time.”
Julius Agwu, however, refuted the claim during an Instagram live session with media personality Daddy Freeze.
Daddy Freeze: “They claimed that you claimed your wife, IB, wed you for financial gain. Please take care of that.
Julius Agwu: “The Punch interviewed me. I have never made such a statement. I recently seen the item, Segun Arinze sent it to me.
“I could never humiliate myself in that way. My ex-wife and I never got married for financial gain. Julius Agwu never said it, either. My children’s mother is she. I would never be able to say that about her.
