According to SportingLife, Kai Havertz, who is close to joining Arsenal from Chelsea, may wear his favorite jersey number at the Emirates.
The Gunners and their Premier League opponents have agreed to a £65 million trade.
Following the conclusion of negotiations between the two clubs, Havertz might become Arsenal’s first summer acquisition.
The No. 29 jersey that Havertz has worn throughout his career can be given to him by Arsenal.
The 24-year-old wore the same jersey number that he has worn for the past seven years when he made his senior debut for Bayer Leverkusen in October 2016 at the age of just 17.
Havertz was purchased by Chelsea for a staggering £75 million in 2020 and given his preferred team number.
