According to reports, 1,500 members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) from the Taraba State Command have been stationed all throughout the state to ensure a trouble-free Eid el-Kabir celebration.

The state commandant, Adamu Salihu, claims that the deployment is intended to increase surveillance and life security before, during, and after the festival, which begins tomorrow.

The NSCDC chief made this announcement on Tuesday at a press conference held at the command’s headquarters, which is situated along Mile Six Road in the state capital of Jalingo.

He claimed that the deployment is now required in order to protect worshipers from any kind of assault.

Salihu claims that in addition to guarding worshipers at the Eid venues, the deployed operatives will also guard vital national assets before, during, and after the holiday.

He added that NSCDC agents are stationed at all flash points throughout the state’s nooks and crannies.
