In order to create a coalition of Nigerians who will be good leaders and followers and impact beneficial changes, the Nigeria Labour Congress, or NLC, has appealed to Nigerians to join it.
Following the conclusion of the congress’s 2023 Rain School on Friday, Mr. Joe Ajaero, president of the NLC, issued the demand in a statement, according to NAN.
The event took place from July 17 to July 21 in Uyo.
According to Ajaero, the alliance would include those who were disadvantaged, oppressed, and in need.
He stated that because hunger and poverty know no racial or religious bounds, it is our collective and indeed civic obligation to free ourselves and the country from the shackles of unfavorable laws.
Nigerians were urged by the labor leader to exercise effective leadership in their varied realms of influence.
“It has been a productive week for all of us as we have gained new knowledge and strength.
“The fights are for a more humane and inclusive world, where workers will no longer be seen as mere cogs in the machine but as essential contributors to greater wealth creation and development,” he said.
Ajaero asked the students to share what they had learned with others.
He also exhorted them to use the teachings to improve their surroundings.
“Be worthy ambassadors of this school, and let the light that has been lit in you here shine brightly wherever you go and in whatever you do,” he continued.
