Glasgow Rangers, a Scottish Premiership team, have announced the acquisition of Nigerian forward Cyriel Dessers.
Dessers signed a four-year deal with the Gers after leaving Serie A team Cremonese.
The 28-year-old is the Rangers’ sixth summer acquisition.
The striker cost Rangers a €5 million deal with €1.5 million in add-ons.
He said: “I am really happy, it is a big relief to finally be here” after joining Rangers. Although there have been some hard and demanding days, it is wonderful to be here at last.
“The stadium, the supporters, and the club’s history are all enormous, but I want to focus on the present situation. I am glad to be here because I had some really good conversations with Michael Beale about his plans and the ideas he has for the team and for himself off the field.
Dessers played with Cremonese for one season, scoring seven goals in 29 league games.
With 10 goals two seasons ago, he led the UEFA Conference League in scoring.
