Banditry: The police chief of Zamfara leads patrol squads to Gusau and the Tsafe-Funtua road

Kolo Yusuf, the commissioner of police for Zamfara State, claims to have sent extra police officers to several troublesome parts of the state.

Yusuf claimed that in order to assess the security risks in the region and make adjustments to his programs against banditry activities in the state, he oversaw the patrol of the entire Gusau, Tsafe-Funtua road.

According to 460PLAY, the Commissioner personally oversaw some key strategic points where more tactical Police squads were safeguarding the safety of travelers.

CP Yusuf identified some key strategic points along the route during the patrol, and these spots were immediately strengthened by the deployment of police tactical operators from the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), and Anti-Violence Squad of the Command.

In order to effectively police the state, the Commissioner of Police gave the general public the assurance that police, working with sister security agencies, would continue their efforts to bring Zamfara State back to normalcy. He also charged the populace with actively sharing intelligence with law enforcement agencies.
