Posted by On Saturday, the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) vowed to file a lawsuit against anyone found to have violated the rights of the peaceful Arewa community in Lagos State.
The group’s national president, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, advised the Lagos waterfront commissioner to focus on his main responsibilities and refrain from participating in the activities of the traditional institution in a statement he released on Saturday in Kaduna.
Shettima praised Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his efforts to bring about peace and called on the Lagos State Governor to summon his commissioner to account for using derogatory language against Governor Ganduje, who deserves respect due to his age and not just because he is a governor.
He claimed that the governor’s initiatives would also strengthen the already amicable ties with the Arewa Community in Lagos, which is headed by HRH Alhaji Aminu Idris Yaro Dogara.
