Posted by The inauguration of the appointed market committee members, which was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday at the Ministry of Trade and Investment, Umuahia, has been postponed by the Abia State Government.
In a press release that read: “This is to inform the general public and particularly the various market groups in Aba and Umuahia that the planned inauguration of the newly appointed management committee members for markets, scheduled for Thursday, June 22, 2023, is hereby suspended,” Chimezie Ukaegbu, the Special Adviser to Governor Alex Otti on Trade and Commerce, made this announcement on Wednesday.
“Government also withdraws the list of individuals previously appointed to the management committees of the various markets by this notification. In due order, a new date for the inauguration will be revealed.
The resignation of the appointments and postponement of the anticipated inauguration were not explained.
