President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been encouraged by controversial Nollywood actor Yul Edochie to release Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader.
Since being detained and returned to Nigeria from Kenya two years ago, Kanu has been imprisoned.
The IPOB leader was apprehended because of his agitation for Biafra’s actualization.
The Nigerian government has refused to liberate Kanu despite court orders to do so.
Edochie begged Tinubu, whom he referred to as a guy who spent three decades fighting for democracy, in a message sent on Tuesday morning via his Twitter account to release Kanu from the Department of State Security’s (DSS) detention.
