Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has outlawed street trading throughout the federal capital.

Corn vendors, according to Wike, act as sources for criminals.

He addressed as the management teams of the Federal Capital Development Authority and the Federal Capital Territory Administration were in a meeting.

Street trading is forbidden, claims Wike. Insecurity is brought on by factors like people dropping their trash carelessly while selling maize.

“crooks come to buy and take advantage of the chance to snoop and provide information to crooks. We must remove the street vendors.

“We need to stop the significant problem in development control. Why are there shanties and illegal buildings everywhere? Any construction that is illegal will be destroyed. No matter how well situated, the building will collapse.
