Despite the fact that they are from different political parties, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, and Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, have both declared their support for one another.
Wike made this statement on Tuesday during a meeting held by the spouses of Lagos State officials at the Eko Hotel in Lagos.
The governor of Rivers noted that Sanwo-Olu is “doing well” for the residents of the state, which is why he was present at the ceremony.
“Wike” said
“Even though he is a member of my party, even if Sanwo-Olu is not doing well, I won’t come. Therefore, if you are a member of my party and are having trouble, I won’t bother to see you.
“You will see me and that is what I stand for if you are successful and not in my party. And I won’t be sorry to say that I’m on your side.
On the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, Sanwo-Olu is now running for re-election as Lagos governor; Wike, a PDP member, will finish serving his second term in office in 2023.
