The Israeli army issued a warning to Iran on Tuesday, stating that the country will not be left unpunished after its recent missile launches.

In response to an attack on its consulate in Syria that killed several generals on April 1, Iran had fired over 300 missiles and drones at Israel.

The Israeli defense system, backed by the US and other nations, managed to intercept the majority of the missiles fired against Israel.

But Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israeli army, warned that “Iran will not get (off) scot-free with this aggression.”

At the Julis military base, Hagari addressed reporters while holding the fragments of a missile that had been intercepted.

“This aggression in the region will not be tolerated,” Hagari declared.

He asserted that while the international community was preoccupied with the “nuclear threat from Iran,” the Islamic Republic was busy “building a conventional threat, meaning to create a ring of fire across Israel.”
