Toni Kroos, a midfielder for Real Madrid, criticized Gabri Veiga’s choice to join Al Ahli and called it “embarrassing.”
Veiga was regarded as one of the most promising young midfielders in La Liga and this summer has drawn interest from a number of elite clubs in Europe.
The Spain Under-21 international had been linked to Liverpool and Chelsea, but it seemed Napoli had won the race to get him even as of Wednesday.
Veiga, according to Fabrizio Romano, has had a last-minute change of heart and will now sign for the Saudi Arabian club.
Last night, when Romano shared the news on his Instagram page, Kroos commented, calling it “embarrassing.”
