The federal government has charged Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), with terrorism offenses. Kanu has hired new attorneys to defend himself.
Today, the Federal High Court in Abuja is scheduled to reopen the trial of Kanu.
But according to 460PLAY’s reporting, Kanu’s defense against the seven counts would be handled by a new team of attorneys headed by Alloy Ejimakor.
The shift in leadership of the legal team from Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN and Ifeanyi Ejiofor has not been justified.
Lawyers and sympathizers of the Biafran agitator are already present in court.
