Tyla, a Grammy-winning singer from South Africa, has said that Tems, her Nigerian counterpart, is responsible for bringing young African female singers to the attention of the world.

Collaborating with Tems on her self-titled first album was a joy, and she freely acknowledged Tems’ extraordinary talent.

In a recent interview, Tyla shared her thoughts with Kiss Fresh, UK.

“Working with Tems is amazing,” she stated. Her skill is endless. She is quite formidable. Working with her was an incredible honor. The doors that she has opened for us, the young female artists of Africa, are endless.

We wrote a heartfelt song with a profound message. This song was created by girls, for girls.

Number 1 from of Tyla’s debut eponymous album, which came out earlier this month, included Tems.
