Shutdown in Abuja as 33kv feeder repairs cause power disruption – AEDC

The power outage that affected portions of the capital city on Thursday was caused by maintenance on the 33kv NIPP feeder, according to the Management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc, AEDC.

On Thursday, AEDC announced this via its official Twitter account.

Dantata Estate, FO1, Chikakore, Byazhin, Byazhin Across, Gbazango, and the Military Pension Board were among the places named as impacted.

The power outage is caused by a problem on the 33kV Kubwa circuit breaker, which affects customers in the following areas: FCDA, Owner Occupier, Army Estate. Phase 3, Phase 4, 2.1, 22, Extension 2, Aso Garden Estate, Zenith Bank area, Dutse, Papas Ground, Karsana, Mona Apartment, and its surroundings.
