The newly appointed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is likely to fall into “serious political trouble” with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, according to sociopolitical pundit Shehu Sani on Tuesday.
He claimed that while Wike is capable of performing his duties, there is a chance that he may upset the president “by his utterances or actions.”
The former senator for Kaduna Central advised Wike to “walk in a minefield or be blown by it.”
“The capacity and competence of the new FCT minister to deliver is without doubt,” Sani tweeted on his Twitter account.Without a doubt, he has the potential to seriously damage his relationship with the President by his words and deeds. He will need to develop minefield walking skills or risk getting blown away.
According to 460play, Wike promised to “step on toes” by removing all unlawful constructions in the FCT, regardless of how well-positioned their owners are, when he took office as FCT Minister on Monday.
In Abuja, he also committed to end open grazing.
