The popular gospel performer Sammie Okposo’s passing has been lamented by some famous people.
On Friday morning, the 51-year-old sagged and passed away.
Popular actor Richard Mofe Damijo, also known by his stage name RMD, shared a video he made with the late singer about a month ago in the United States on his Instagram page as a response to the death.
“This was exactly one month ago in the US,” he added. We had a two-week period of male fellowship. We ate, drank, and made fun of one another. We discussed our plans for the coming year, but I’m having trouble finding the right words to describe our connection.
The plan was not to do this, Sam Okpooo, as I used to call you. This one gave me heartache. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers as you rest in power, peace, and praise.
Comedian Bovi responded by wishing him peace as well.
“Goodnight Uncle Sam,” he inscribed. I’ve never heard a voice more angelic.
Additionally, Frank Edoho, a renowned presenter and filmmaker, wrote: “My friend Sammy Okposo has left us with a painful hollow in our hearts. He literally praised and worshipped God all the time, which makes me sad. Most likely, God required that resonant voice in heaven. Sammy, da! You will be sorely missed! Please go in peace.
