On Saturday, Arsenal will face Wolves in a match that will put them two points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Following last weekend’s 2-0 home loss to Aston Villa, Mikel Arteta’s squad were unable to go up to first place.
However, in an interview with Sky Sports, Merson expressed optimism in his old team.
According to him, Arsenal still has a slim chance of winning.
Within the next week or two, they will face Wolves, Chelsea, and Tottenham. With a victory in these next three games, they will have a legitimate shot at winning the Premier League.
“Players’ reactions to these setbacks will determine their fate, but they are definitely capable of doing that.”
