Peter Obi, Jr., offers condolences to the family of the late actor

Peter Obi, who ran for president as a member of the Labour Party (LP) in the most recent election, visited the family of late Nollywood star Junior Pope to offer his condolences.

Another signatory to the record of condolences was the ex-governor of Anambra State.

Saturday afternoon saw the release of photos and videos from the visit by Kenneth Okonkwo, a former spokesperson for the Labour Party presidential campaign committee and a well-known Nollywood actor.

With the caption: “HE Peter Obi arrived at the residence of John Paul Odonwodo Junior Pope, to pay his condolences to his family over the sad and untimely departure of their child, brother, husband and father.” he posted video and photos on social media. He comforted his children, Jennifer, the widow, and his mother, Mrs. Maria Odonwodo.

The boat Junior Pope and three others were riding in collapsed on the Anam River in Anambra State on their way back from a filming site on April 10, 2024, according to 460PLAY.

On Friday, his funeral took place at his hometown of Ukehe, which is in the Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.
