The Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, Angela Odey, has received advice from Assistant Inspector-General of Police Jonathan Towuru to make sure that the palliatives obtained from the federal government are distributed fairly.

When Towuru met the SEMA team on Tuesday in his office in Calabar, he talked.

The AIG gave SEMA assurances that lives and property will be adequately protected in the Zone under his supervision in a statement signed by the zonal police PRO, SP Nelson Ofem.

He urged the residents of Cross River and Akwa Ibom States to promptly provide information through the Commands Control Rooms in order to ensure effective policing.

The DG previously assured the AIG that the Agency has put the necessary safeguards in place to ensure the efficient distribution of palliatives intended to lessen the effects of the cessation of gasoline subsidies.
