Man United star is advised by Rooney to leave Ten Hag’s team

Harry Maguire has been persuaded by former England player Wayne Rooney to think about quitting Manchester United this summer.

The former Manchester United striker claimed that manager Erik ten Hag’s decision to relieve the center-back of his leadership demonstrates that the Dutchman lacks confidence in the player and has actively urged him to depart.

Maguire stated on Sunday that he will no longer serve as the club’s captain by the start of the next season, according to manager Erik ten Hag.

Prior to this, Maguire was virtually the fifth choice at Old Trafford, trailing only Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, and even left-back Luke Shaw.

The DC United manager said, “To have the armband taken off you, how does he move forward with the club?,” in a statement to The Athletic.

“That demonstrates how little the manager actually believes in him. Harry is now in a situation where he must decide what to do going ahead. The manager has revealed that he is not involved in the plans.

“He should probably move right now,” I said.
