Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan has been named the new vice chancellor of the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
In the Executive Council Chamber of the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, the state capital, he made this announcement on Wednesday while receiving the reports from the chairs of the planning and implementation committees for the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education and the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital.
Makinde remarked during his speech that institution employees need not be afraid since his administration would not fire any employees from the institution.
He commended the members and chairs of both committees, Professors Juwon Arotiba and Ayodeji Omole, for their hard work.
“We would want to thank Professor Deji Omole one more. Before I assumed office as governor of Oyo State, the adventure began. Let me put what you’ve done to get us to this point in the correct context.
We might not be able to maintain that for very long, though, based on the brief conversation I had this morning with the National Universities Commission (NUC) representative. We might also relieve those who are in charge of overseeing the tertiary institutions in Oyo State of their duties, he remarked.
