He claims that the majority of Afrobeats artists used DJ sets prior to Burna Boy’s use of live bands.
Burna Boy, he said, made concerts “enjoyable.”
“Before Burna Boy started this live band thing, most Afrobeats acts would just go on stage with their DJs and bounce,” Ruger remarked in a recent interview with Billboard with BNXN.
“As young Nigerians, we know what Burna Boy has done, so it doesn’t matter if they give him flowers or not.”
