While allocating ministerial portfolios, President Bola Tinubu has not designated a minister of petroleum resources.

The president was given the portfolio of Minister of Petroleum while former President Muhammadu Buhari was in office.

Timipre Sylva, however, was given the position of Minister of State for Petroleum by Buhari.

However, as he builds his cabinet, Tinubu divided the ministry in half.

The former director of media and publicity for the Tinubu-Shettima Campaign Organization, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed DAILY POST’s observation.

Part of a communiqué from Onanuga reads: “Surprises as President Tinubu discloses ministerial portfolios. The petroleum minister has not yet been chosen by Tinubu.

However, the ministry has been divided in two, with two ministers of state who are all from the South South.
