Alhaji Aminu Danbuba, a security expert, has advised Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal not to negotiate with robbers for peace.

He claims that in order to maintain the welfare of the state and the security of its citizens, some initiatives from previous governments need to be prioritized.

He emphasized that former governor Matawalle had engaged into a peace agreement with them, wasting billions of Naira that belonged to the state but producing no favorable or constructive outcomes from the negotiations.

In Gusau, the state’s capital, Danbuba told 460play that the current state of affairs in the region is the most hazardous it has ever been, with a general sense of unease pervading as bandits continue to terrorize the region on a daily basis.

Killings and kidnappings are common in many places, he added. Agriculture is no longer developing as usual.

According to him, farming is still one of the most significant economic activities in the state, but because to the persistent operations of bandits, it has taken on a new and dangerous direction and is now a perilous venture for farmers.
