Man City have reportedly entered the fight to sign Celta Vigo midfielder Gabriel Veiga, who is sought after by a number of clubs in Europe, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Rice, who is expected to go with Arsenal this summer, was passed over, therefore Pep Guardiola’s team is now focusing on Veiga.
Veiga’s contract with Celta Vigo contains a £34 million release clause.
The 21-year-old Spaniard has drawn interest from teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, and Liverpool, but Man City are now also considering signing him.
