Flamingos Advance to Final Qualifying Round in U-17 World Cup Qualifier after Defeating Burkina Faso

With Saturday night’s 6-0 drubbing of Burkina Faso, Nigeria secured a spot in the last qualifying round for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

On aggregate, Bankole Olowookere’s team qualified with a 7-1 victory.

The match-winning goal scored by home side standout Harmony Chidi was the highlight of the encounter.

The Flamingos’ other goal came from Ramota Kareem, while Peace Effiong scored twice.

The Flamingos’ last-round matchup will be with Senegal or Liberia.

The Dominican Republic will play host to this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, and three African countries will be competing.

From October 16, 2024, until November 3, 2024, the tournament will be in full swing.
