Cole Palmer of Chelsea has been persuaded by former Manchester United striker Michael Owen to “stay put” during the summer transfer window.
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City and had a spectacular debut season.
The England international played 33 Premier League appearances for the Blues, tallying 22 goals and dishing out 11 assists.
When asked if he thought Palmer will be at Chelsea for the foreseeable future, Owen said he thought the 22-year-old should stay for the time being at Stamford Bridge.
People frequently have an innate desire to improve their lot in life. It’s not only football players, after all. “Most individuals would strive to improve themselves,” Owen said to AceOdds.
“He was not getting a game at Man City, so he went to Chelsea.” It would become fascinating if he had the option to join a team that would provide him a better chance of winning the league or the Champions League.
“However, that is a another matter entirely if Man City made a second bid for him and desired to pay £100 million. However, I believe he would likely remain where he is right now.
