When asked about the Manchester United fan base, manager Erik ten Hag said they had “no sense of reality” while celebrating their 11th Premier League triumph.

On the eve of United’s FA Cup final match against Manchester City, Ten Hag made this statement in an interview.

The Dutchman has been in charge for two seasons, but following Saturday’s game at Wembley, rumors are circulating that he will be fired.

The result on Saturday will determine whether United will play in Europe next season; under Ten Hag, the club has sunk to its lowest Premier League position ever, placing eighth.

“Manchester United won the league for the last time in 2013, eleven years ago,” Ten Hag stated while speaking to the Dutch publication VI.

Despite this, they insist that we win every game we play in while we’re at the top.

“That is beyond the capabilities of this club.

Last year, we started laying the groundwork for something bigger, but now that you know how huge this club is, no one is ever happy.

“While everyone in the club was happy, rumors started circulating outside the club claiming that I only won the Carabao Cup, didn’t win the FA Cup, and finished third.”
