The three ministerial nominees who have not yet received confirmation have been invited back for further screening, according to Yemi Adaramodu, a spokesperson for the Senate.
Adaramodu revealed this while speaking on the Sunrise Daily morning show on Channels Television.
Due to security concerns, the Red Chamber declined to confirm Nasir El-Rufai, Stella Okotete, and Abubakar Danladi, the nominees from the states of Taraba and Delta.
Adaramodu’s response, when asked if the Senate will continue to confirm them, was: “The question raised concerning them is a continuing matter.
“So, if the Senate is pleased, we will invite them to the chamber for a second confirmation and screening if necessary.
“The Senate cannot be satisfied if security is not met. What the security agencies and the person nominating them say will vary.
After a voice vote, the Senate on Monday approved and confirmed 45 of President Bola Tinubu’s candidates for ministerial positions.
El-Rufai and two other individuals were not given ministerial confirmation, nevertheless, until they received “security clearance.”
