Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, a former housemate on Big Brother Naija’s seventh season, has stated that her remark that Adekunle owes his mother an apology was not meant as a slight.

Doyin reportedly said that Adekunle “owes his mum an apology because he threw her home training to the gutters” at the “Level Up” reunion show episode 6 that aired on Monday night, according to 460play.

Her claim drew criticism on social media, as many chastised her for including Adekunle’s mother in their argument.

On Tuesday morning, Doyin responded via her Twitter account and explained that her comment on the show was not meant as a slight towards Adekunle’s mother, as some had suggested.

She claimed that her remark implied that Adekunle’s mother had properly trained him, but that he had disregarded it; as a result, he owed her an apology.

The reality TV star pleaded with people who misunderstood her to enroll again in English language classes.

“I never insulted his mother,” Doyin wrote. “He owes his mum an apology,” I said, “for trashing her home training.” In other words, he owes her an apology because she trained him but he neglected the training.

“If English is a problem for you, now is a good time to return to school.”
