DNA Analysis: Substituted Service on Mohbad’s Wife Ordered by the Court

A pending DNA application must be served on Wunmi, the wife of the late musician Mohbad, by substituted methods, according to a Magistrate Court ruling in the Ikorodu district of Lagos.

This information was shared with the Aloba family by a member of the legal team in a statement that was signed by Monisola Odumosu on Wednesday.

In the legal team’s application, Mohbad’s father Joseph Aloba requested that all processes pertaining to the lawsuit, including the originating procedures, be sent to Wunmi at the respondent’s last known address.

According to the statement, the legal team contended that Wunmi had been twice unsuccessfully served with the court procedure by the sheriff.

“Good service” would be achieved and the respondent would be made aware of the pending litigation if the court ordered process to be served on her last known address.

Postal service of a court process on the respondent was ordered by the Chief Magistrate to be effected at her last known address.
