Despite Nottingham Forest losing to Manchester United, Awoniyi makes history

After scoring against Manchester United on Saturday, Taiwo Awoniyi became the first player in Premier League history to score in seven straight games for Nottingham Forest.

In the second minute at Old Trafford, Awoniyi gave Forest the lead.

The representative of Nigeria gained possession of the ball within his own half, sprinted toward goal, and then slid the ball past Andre Onana.

The 26-year-old is also the only African to have scored in seven straight Premier League games, joining Emmanuel Adebayor and Mohamed Salah.

The second goal was scored by Willy Bolly for Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United came back to defeat the opposition 3-2.

For Manchester United, goals were scored by Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, and Bruno Fernandes.
