Following his not-guilty plea to charges of naira abuse, socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, was given bail in the amount of N10 million. Singer Davido has responded to this development.

According to DAILY POST, the Cubana Chief Priest was granted bail of N10 million with two sureties in the same amount after pleading not guilty.

He was arraigned before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court, Lagos, on Wednesday, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on three counts relating to the abuse of the Naira.

Following his release on bond, the socialite thanked his supporters on Instagram for their prayers.

The trial, he said, had humbled him, but it had also proven that he isn’t “small.”

In response to his post in the comments, Davido stated that he could not face the thought of Cubana Chief Priest being incarcerated for six months and that he could not believe it.

“I won’t see you for six months, okay….” he wrote. Absolutely not, ever.

For those unaware, Bobrisky, a notorious crossdresser, was found guilty of Naira mutilation last Friday by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of Lagos’s Federal High Court and sentenced to six months in prison without the possibility of credit.
