Morice Chukwu, a forward for Rivers United, is close to signing a transfer deal with Singida Fountain Gate Club of the Tanzania Premier League.
Chukwu will sign a two-year contract, the Daily Post has learned.
The athlete is already in the nation of East Africa to complete the contract.
The striker had attention from Yanga SC, one of the premier teams in Tanzania, but he decided to join Singida Fountain instead.
Following the expiration of his contract, Morice left Rivers United, a past champion of the Nigerian Premier League, last month.
He was a vital member of the Rivers United team that advanced to the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals last year.
