Dion Rankine, a versatile academy graduate for Chelsea, joined Exeter City on a season-long loan on Thursday, the club said.

This was revealed by The Blues in a website-based statement.
“Rankine will experience senior football for the first time thanks to his loan to Exeter. The Grecians placed 14th in League One the previous season, according to a statement from Chelsea.
Rankine transferred from Cambridge United to Chelsea as an Under-14.

During his time in the Cobham Academy, the 20-year-old has been used as a full-back, a wing-back, and a winger.
