Charly Boy responds to demands for his arrest following an incendiary remark

Charles Oputa, better known by his stage name Charly Boy, has responded to calls for his arrest following a recent remark.

According to 460play, the controversial artist urged Nigerian youngsters to protest the Tuesday police shooting of a 17-year-old boy near Paris by burning public property in a tweet on Saturday.

Charly Boy shared a video of protesters destroying several structures in France and stated that was what young people in
Nigeria should do to “reject the system that let them down.”

Some Nigerians took offense to his post and demanded his arrest for seeking to stir up civil disorder in the comments section.

However, Charly Boy responded on Sunday by making fun of those requesting his arrest via his Twitter account.

“Na only me just dey Laff as guys just dey Kpara on top my Post, people come dey even call for my arrest, see monkeys,” he stated in his letter.

“DSS can arrest people who speak out against criminals but not criminals,” You are an ineffective Nigerian.

“Some Mumu individuals come dey form gangster on top of my post [sic] because I charged the Youths of Nigeria to take their fate in their hands and bring down a criminal Enterprise.
