The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged Muslims to embrace peace, unity, and tolerance ahead of this year’s Eid el-Kabir.
In his Sallah speech on Tuesday, CAN President Archbishop Daniel Okoh congratulated Nigerian Muslims.
Christians honor the sacrifice, love, and obedience that Eid el-Kabir signifies across Nigeria, according to Archbishop Okoh.
We would like to take this chance to reaffirm our dedication to encouraging religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians. Working together and respecting one another’s faiths and beliefs make Nigeria stronger, he said.
In order to honor Eid el-Kabir, the federal government designated June 28 and 29, 2023, as public holidays.
