After fans kicked against Enenche, Peter Obi promised to update the campaign council roster

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, announced that the group would provide a revised roster of its Presidential Campaign Council.

The choice of Major General John Enenche, rtd, to the LP presidential advisory committee sparked a social media backlash, according to 460PLAY.

Enenche had asserted in 2020 that images and recordings from the Lekki Tollgate slaughter during the EndSARS rally had been altered.

However, Labour Party supporters stated that because of his involvement in concealing up the Lekki tragedy in October 2020, he is unworthy of any position in Obi’s campaign team.

Peter Obi responded on Friday by urging patience and calmness in a tweet.

Following the publication of the list for the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, he stated, “I’ve received several calls of worry. The fears were justified because there were various mistakes and omissions on the list.

“In response, the Labour Party Chairman addressed the issues during a news conference while NWC members were in attendance.

“An updated list will be released as soon as possible in keeping with our commitment to accountability, responsiveness, and transparency. I beg for tolerance.
