Matt Turner, the goalkeeper for Arsenal, departed Mikel Arteta’s team this summer to sign a permanent deal with Nottingham Forest.

This was revealed by The Gunners on Wednesday in a statement posted on their website.

This occurs less than a week before Arsenal’s Saturday match against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

In response, the club’s website cited Edu, the sporting director at Arsenal, as saying: “On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to thank Matt for his contribution to Arsenal and wish him and his family the best in their new chapter.”

He is moving on to join Nottingham Forest with our best regards.

Turner transferred from the MLS team New England Revolution to Arsenal in June 2022.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper played seven times for Arsenal across all competitions, recording four shutouts in the process.
