Didier Drogba, a former player for Chelsea, has praised the Teranga Lions of Senegal for making it through to the next stage of the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Tuesday’s game saw Senegal defeat Ecuador 2-1 with goals from Ismaila Sarr and Kalidou Koulibaly.
As a result, Senegal earned six points from three games to finish second in Group A.
On Sunday, the West African giants will take on the English Three Lions.
After the game, Drogba responded by tweeting, “Congratulations @FootballSenegal for qualifying, no doubt Bouba Diop is proud of you from above 2002-2022 @FIFAWorldCup,” under his Twitter handle.
