The Tertiary Education Fund (TETFund) projects spread out across the country would be open for inspection by no less than 42 civil society organizations operating under the aegis of the Centre for Accountability and Transparency in Nigeria (CATIN).

The goal, according to Ambassador John Oriri Ali, who made this claim in a statement released on behalf of the groups, is to carefully examine all of the agency’s operations.

The tour, in Ali’s words, is “necessary to separate facts from fiction, mediocrity from excellence, and results from oversights.”

He said that the selection of TETFUND came as a result of information on its operations during the previous two years, which were overseen by Executive Secretary Sonny Echono.

Ali also stated that a thorough report on the performance of the tertiary agency under Echono will be made available to Nigerians following the exercise.
