Prof. Chris Nwokobia, a public pundit, has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent policies.

Additionally, he claimed that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, would have outperformed Tinubu in his first 30 days in power.

Nwokobia, the leader of the Country First Movement and a former member of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, revealed this on Thursday in an interview with Arise Television that DAILY POST was watching.

He pointed out that Tinubu’s plans on getting rid of fuel subsidies, unifying the foreign exchange, and replacing service heads are anti-people.

Nwokobia argued against public commentators who thought Tinubu had performed well during the previous 30 days.

He claims that Tinubu is not doing anything that previous presidents haven’t done since 1999.

He said Peter Obi would have performed better if he had won the presidency.

“I disagree with people who claim that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration is making great strides in implementing its policies. Several other administrations since 1999 have acted more quickly.

“What has the President accomplished that other people haven’t? The nation should come first. Partisanship, intolerance, and the positioning of what one wants from the current administration should all be set aside.

“The moment has come to examine how leadership influences the general populace. In our country, the bags of poverty, dependence, and needs have gotten worse.

He claimed that Peter Obi would have performed better because “he clearly understands Nigeria’s politics, economy, and business because he is a trader.”

One month after Tinubu was inaugurated as president, his measures on cutting back on fuel subsidies, unifying the FX market, and changing the service chiefs have drawn both praise and criticism.
