NNPP head tells Tinubu that Nigerians demand reliable electricity, good roads, and other things

Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, a leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has stated that Nigerians need reliable energy, good roads, and other social amenities.

Oguntoyinbo maintained that citizens deserved greater infrastructure, including better welfare and medical services.

He then counseled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to find solutions to the nation’s infrastructure crisis.

These revelations were made by Oguntoyinbo in a statement that was made accessible to 460play on Tuesday.

The politician who ran for governor of Ogun State in 2023 on the NNPP platform suggested that one approach to strengthen the nation’s economy is to diversify away from mono-economy and into the hotel and agricultural sectors.

He continued by saying that attention should be given to the power sector.

Speaking about his decision to enter politics, Oguntoyinbo stated that he wanted to emulate the late sage Obafemi Awolowo by serving the nation, noting that the late founding father dedicated his life to serving others.

He urged all levels of government to assist the underprivileged.

“With visionary leadership, we can provide steady electricity, good roads, greater welfare, and better health facilities for Nigerians.

“Let’s expand the tourist and hospitality industries to increase revenue and provide more jobs for young people who are unemployed.

“I want Nigeria to change the way that our children are educated, that lives and property are secure, that farmers are helped to exchange goods, that the severely poor are helped, that education is given priority, and that power is generated so that we may have industrial progress.

“I’ve come to build a name for myself like the late sage Obafemi Awolowo, who throughout his life gave to the people rather than taking money from the government. I don’t know when I’ll pass away, but while I’m still living I’ll put all of my work into helping the public and humanity.
