Nigerian forward Etiosa Ighodaro has piqued the interest of Club Brugge, a team in the Belgian Pro League.

Igor Thiago, Brugge’s star striker, is leaving for the Premier League at the conclusion of the season, therefore the club is in the market for a replacement.

Many believe that Ighodaro can step in for Thiago with ease.

Having previously played for Mamelodi Sundowns, the 22-year-old is now on loan at SuperSport United.

On loan, the forward played for Chippa United and TUKS.

Negotiations between Club Brugge and Mamelodi Sundowns to sign the 22-year-old are set to begin in the coming days.

Club Brugge has a history of Nigerian players, including Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Dennis, and David Okereke.
